Never Give Up

A friend of mine reminded me of a famous quote by Ella Fitzgerald, "Don't give up on trying to do what you really want to. When there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong."
I love this message and the more I think about it, I would have to say I've lived that way. Some people say you need confidence to accomplish an impossible task. Perhaps something that's never been done or one that others think you lack the talent to make happen. I have never had confidence, I don't even know, really know, what it is. The only thing I can say is that I'll never give up. My husband says I wear down the naysayers. Ha. Maybe true. If what I want doesn't happen by pursuit in one direction, I regroup and try a different tactic. I am literally the bull in the china shop.
It is sad to see so many people with a gift that they are afraid to use. I say, "Go for it. Just do it." You'll only be happy once you try, and try again. Many success stories quote that the journey was the joy. Me, on the other hand, says that there is no greater joy than doing something that EVERYONE said was impossible. Yeah, the journey and figuring out how to get your dream into reality is fun and challenging but the top of the mountain is the best...and the view is splendid.
Go for it, don't delay another day.
